Who We Are

Kidz Therapy Services, PLLC was founded to promote and enhance the development of infants and young children with special needs between the ages of birth to five. We are one of the largest providers of services for young children and school age children (provided through Gayle E. Kligman Therapeutic Resources) in Nassau and Suffolk counties.

Kidz Therapy Services, PLLC employs professionals specifically trained to address the needs of children and their families. Our professional staff is appropriately licensed and/or certified by the State of New York and receives ongoing supervision and training in their respective fields. At our Garden City and Hauppauge facilities, we employ full time speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, special education teachers, psychologists, and social workers. Professionals trained in Autism and Behavioral services, including BCBA's are available for ongoing consulation and services. Additionally, our agency utilizes independent contractors in all of these same professional disciplines who travel throughout Nassau and Suffolk counties to evaluate and treat each child’s individual needs in home, child care and numerous types of educational settings.

Kidz Therapy staff is here to address each child’s individual needs and to help the child on his/her way to a bright and promising future. Comprehensive plans are proposed for each child utilizing home, therapeutic center-based and community-based settings. Family needs and goals are incorporated into each child’s program and every effort is made to encourage a successful partnership between family/caregivers and the therapists.

Who We Serve

Early Intervention Program - Birth - 3 Years

Kidz Therapy Services is a NYS Approved Provider of Early Intervention Services and under contract with Nassau and Suffolk counties. All Early Intervention evaluations and services are provided at no cost to families but health insurance may be accessed. If a child is found eligible for services through Early Intervention, all services are identified in collaboration with the family and must be authorized by the municipality. The municipality will arrange for service providers to deliver services. Families are responsible for arranging for and paying the costs of any child care or community based setting in which the child may be enrolled. The Early Intervention Program is funded and regulated by the New York State Department of Health and Nassau and Suffolk Counties’ Department of Health.

Preschool Program - 2.6 – 5 years

Kidz Therapy Services is a NYS approved multidisciplinary evaluation site and under contract with Nassau and Suffolk counties. All evaluations and services are provided at no cost to families and are based on the individual needs of the preschool child found to have a disability as determined by the Committee on Preschool Special Education (CPSE) of the local school district. The local school district will determine the location where recommended special education services will be provided. Families are responsible for arranging for and paying the costs of any child care or community based setting in which the child may be enrolled. The Committee on Preschool Special Education program (CPSE) is for children who have or are suspected of having a disability pursuant to Section 4410 of Article 89 of the Education Law and funded by the NY State Education Department and Nassau and Suffolk Counties’ Department of Health with funds earmarked for special education services.

Where We Serve

Services are available on site at our large and modern Garden City and Hauppauge facilities. These locations provide child/parent oriented waiting areas and therapy rooms especially appointed to be “child friendly”. Each room is equipped with a computer and the latest in therapy tools. A viewing window allows a parent to view the assessment or therapy session from outside the room. Additionally, our facilities are outfitted with state of the art sensorimotor integration gyms and physical therapy gyms, including new rock climbing walls and slides. We have a specially designed Evaluation Center in our Garden City office.
