Does the word ZOOM make you sweat?
As our world unfolds into a sea of face masks, it is our responsibility to help maintain a bit of normalcy in the lives of young children. As we continue to navigate the world of distance learning, websites and resources continue to be developed. Virtual teaching can be a successful and exciting way to educate students!
As educators, it is incumbent upon us to turn a difficult situation into one that is positive. During this workshop, the presenter will discuss techniques for instructing young students with disabilities via Zoom and other remote learning platforms. Participants will learn imaginative and efficient strategies to engage students while addressing curriculum and IEP goals. Techniques and lesson ideas for providing remote instruction in pre-reading, reading, pre-math, math, pre-writing, writing, and language skills will be reviewed, with demonstrations using a variety of resources. Strategies for addressing behavioral concerns will also be discussed. This session is appropriate for staff working within both classroom and related service settings.
